FIVE MORE PLAYERS SIGN
Five more members of last season's squad have signed new contracts for the forthcoming season.
David Dunn, Eddie Forrest, Paul Hay, Andy Rodgers and Paul Weaver have now committed themselves to Shire until May 2010.
It means that no fewer than twelve of the squad which finished third in the league table last season will be back for another year.
In addition, youngsters Jason Elliot, Gary O'Hara and Steven Page, who performed outstandingly for the under-17's and under-19's last season, will be added to the first team squad.
Two young players have also been signed from junior team, Forfar West End, and will be sent back there on delayed transfer.
Coach, Jim McInally, is still waiting to hear from Jamie Stevenson about the offer that's been made to him.
"Jamie has returned from holiday and has promised us an answer soon," he said.
Jim is also running the rule over one or two trialists who have been invited along to training.
"We don't have as money to spend as we did last season," he said. "So we will be running with a smaller squad. But at least we know the calibre of player who will be with us for the coming season."
