FIRS PARK SALE

East Stirlingshire FC  has noted the decision of the Reporter to the Scottish Government to reject the appeal against the refusal of planning permission for Firs Park.

The matter will be debated by the Board of Directors at their next routine meeting.

However, the club's position on finding somewhere permanent to play remains unchanged.

"We will not be returning to Firs Park," said vice chairman, Spencer Fearn. "The club has committed itself to looking at options in the Falkirk area for a home of its own and this decision from the Government won't change that," said Mr. Fearn.

Shire have four years left on a five year ground sharing agreement with Stenhousemuir FC to use Ochilview for all its home first team matches.
