UNDER 19'S LOSE TO COWDEN

Shire's under-19 team lost their opening league match of the season 5-1 against Cowdenbeath.

The game, played at the home of Rosyth Juniors, saw the visitors go two goals down in the first half before Josh Mullin pulled one back just short of the break.

However, there was no let up and Lawrie Spence in the Shire goal was busy, pulling off some good saves but conceding three more goals by the finish.

The under-19's first home match of the season is on Tuesday when they play Queen's Park at Stirling University. The game has a 7:15pm kick-off.
