DAVID IS A DUNN DEAL
Shire have captured the signature of Ayr United midfielder David Dunn.
The 26 year old Bellshill-born player made 52 starts and eight substitute appearances in his two seasons at Somerset Park, scoring eight goals in the process.
He had previously spent three seasons at Airdrie United and has also has spells with Clyde and Motherwell.
"We have been making an attempt to sign players from higher leagues," said head coach Jim McInally. "And, to be honest, after seeing him play for Ayr United I thought he might be a player 'out of our league',so to speak, but we have persuaded him to come here.
"I am delighted to get him because he is such a good footballer and with us playing at Stenhousemuir next season he's exactly the kind of player we need.
"We feel we need to add quality players to what is already here and with the signing of David Dunn we feel we are doing that," said McInally.
The Shire boss also revealed Michael Bolochoweckyj has "shaken hands" on a deal to sign for next season.
The central defender, released from his contract with Berwick Rangers last week, had been outstanding while on loan from the Shielfield club at the tail end of last term.
"Michael has made a gentleman's agreement to play for us next season and we expect that to be concluded when he returns from holiday," said the Shire coach.
"We are pleased with the progress we are makingand hope to bring in another couple of players, one being a defender, in the next few days."
