ELGIN CITY PREVIEW
Shire boss, Jim McInally is hoping a bumper crowd can help his team record another win as they attempt to escape the bottom of the Third Division.
Elgin City are the next visitors to Firs Park and the club has decided to make it a free admission day.
Officials want to make sure as many people as possible will make the game and help lift the players for what McInally calls, "another must win game."
And the boss is in no doubt that the encouragement from the sidelines will be a positive factor.
"I have seen it already in my short time here," he said. "The fans who come may not be here in their thousands but they still get behind the team, and from my time in the game I know how important that can be.
"So with maybe some extra people in the players will get that lift they need and some of those who maybe aren't regulars will like what they see and want to come back."
These two teams faced each other just over two weeks ago at Borough Briggs, with Elgin running out 3-0 winners.
However, the Shire boss believes that was down to a daft ten minute spell when the team lost all three goals.
"For the rest of the game I don't think there was anything between the teams that night," he said.
"Their wide players caused us problems and we will have to deal better with them if we are to get anything from the game this time round.
"But Elgin will feel the pressure too," he said. "They need the points to keep in the play-off race and people will expect them to get the points."
McInally believes his players are up for the challenge of getting the team out of their current plight.
"I would like to think they have the self-belief to keep on winning games. Comnfidence is a lot higher after the Albion Rovers win. We have given ourselves a wee change but we have to keep on winning, or at least, make sure the others don't get further away from us."
Dean Richardson came through 90 minutes against Alloa on Tuesday night and will be added to the squad. There remains a slight doubt over Joe Savage, but he too should be fit enough to participate after his recent groin problems.
Kick-off is 3:00pm.
