HOPES HIGH FOR RODGERS
Hopes are still high that Andy Rodgers will have recovered from illness to take his place in the team for Saturday's visit to Dumbarton.
The Shire striker missed the game at Arbroath after being laid low by a bug and still had not recovered enough to take part in the first training session of the week.
But, despite that, he remains very much in Jim McInally's plans for the trip to the Strathclyde Homes Stadium.
"We need to win the match and if we are to do that then we need players like Andy Rodgers," said the Head Coach.
"I know he has been right out of form when it comes to scoring goals but his general play has been good and we need him in the team to make those threatening runs.
"A good performance from Andy and Joe Savage could make all the difference on Saturday."
Scott Gibb will again miss out, this time because he is in Portugal with the Northern Ireland Under-20 squad. Craig Black will deputise.
There are no other injury concerns or suspension worries for McInally ahead of the most important game of the season.
They will go through one final training session on Thursday before the big match.
