SHIRE RESERVES DRAW WITH KILLIE

A young Shire reserve team had the better of a 2-2 draw with SPL Kilmarnock's under-19 team at Little Kerse.

The performance bodes well for the forthcoming Reserve League Cup campaign and will no doubt have pleased coach Alan Upton.

The youngsters showed up well against full-time opposition and there was another standout performance from James McShane who scored Shire's second goal.

Both Kilmarnock goals came from the penalty spot.
