TULLY CHECKS IN
Arbroath defeander Craig Tully is the latest player to join Shire for the 2008/09 season.
The 32 year old Stirling-based player has spent his career at some of Scotland's farthest-flung outposts, having had spells with Ross County, Elgin City and Peterhead.
He joined the Gayfield side from The Blue Toon last year and made a total of 30 appearances for John McGlashan's men, including all four play off matches which saw Arbroath promoted to the Second Division.
Tully started off his senior career at Dundee, where he was a teammate of Shire boss Jim McInally.
"I first came across him at Dens Park," said the Shire coach. "He is as hard as nails but has sorted out his disciplinary problems.
"Craig will be a great addition to the squad. We can play him either in the middle or at right-back, which is what we want because I don't think I will stick to either a back three or a back four rigidly throughout the season," he said.
Craig has formally accepted terms offered to him by the club and will sign the deal early next week.
